10 Spanish Christmas Songs for Kids (and 1 for parents)

  • December 14, 2020

Have you ever gotten lost and spent hours going down the “YouTube” rabbit hole?

I sure hope you can relate, because that just happened to me!

I was looking for a holiday Spanish song to teach our online students, and one lead to another…

And to another to another…

And before I knew it, I was an hour in and had been listening to Spanish Christmas songs in my office all morning!

(I always wonder if my husband thinks I’m completely wasting time or if he sees the value in this like I do – LOL!)

I thought it might be helpful if I shared my favorites with you!?

That way, you and your child, too, can enjoy a few Christmas Spanish songs

Without the YouTube rabbit hold

And I’ll consider it “time well spent” if you find some value in it!

So, here are 10 cute Spanish Christmas/Holiday songs for your Spanish learner

I wish I had time to make a mini Spanish lesson video for each one teaching the lyrics

Actually… If I did that for some of these, would you find it helpful?

Just reply and let me know. Maybe I can find the time if there is interest!

Kids Spanish Christmas/Holiday Songs

  1. This one is Pica Pica, really silly. It is pretty advanced for a Spanish-learner, but very cute and definitely entertaining! It is called “Dulce Navidad” which means “Sweet Christmas”

  1. If you’re not in the holiday spirit yet, this one will help! It also is pretty advanced depending on your child’s level, but super cute and is DISNEY! What’s not to love?

  1. Jingle Bells! This one is super cute and easier to understand for a beginner or intermediate student. Plus, they can learn to say “Rudolph” in Spanish, which is always fun. Cascabeles = Jingle Bells (Also, notice how “ho ho ho” is spelled in Spanish!)

  1. This one is a traditional Latin American Christmas song!

  1. Rudolph in Spanish! This one is good because your kiddo may already know the song in English, making the Spanish version easier to understand

  1. Another Rudolph, but different and super cute. Listen for the words “ganador” (winner), “nariz” (nose), “soy un reno” (I am a reindeer)

  1. Uh oh! Baby shark is back!!! But this time, with red noses! You’re welcome 😛

  1. I couldn’t miss this favorite! Feliz navidad. Prospero año y felicidad (prosperous year and happiness). I recommend you blast this one and have a dance party!!!

  1. Gwen Stefani’s version of “Feliz navidad”, just for fun!

  1. And lastly, a traditional one. Silent night in Spanish! (noche de paz – night of peace, noche de amor – night of love)

Ok and this one is a bonus for you parents! I just love Michael Buble, and I found this gem of him speaking and singing in Spanish! It gets really good at the 2 minute mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMELwQejZbc

I hope you find one that your child (and YOU!) will enjoy and that these bring you some holiday joy!

Happy Holidays!
