HI! I know it’s probably not your birthday (if it is, that would be cool!), but I still have a birthday treat for you…
Why?
Well, when I was a kid, I always thought it was so weird that on their birthday, kids brought treats to school for the other students
Their mom’s would make cupcakes or something else delicious, and we got to sing them happy birthday while enjoying the sugary snack
I thought it was weird, because shouldn’t people be bringing them treats since it’s their birthday, not the other way around?
Whatever. I never got to bring treats to school on my birthday because my birthday is June 8th (yes, today!) and we weren’t in school!
Maybe that’s why I was salty? Haha
But anyways, to keep elementary school traditions alive, since today is my birthday, I wanted to give YOU a present!
It’s my way of saying, “Happy Birthday” to myself, I guess! 😛
So, from me to you, here are my Top 10 Spanish Phrases To Use With Your Child
Even if you don’t speak Spanish at your house, maybe throwing a few of these in once in a while will keep them on their toes!?
And if your child gets intrigued (or freaked out!) by you speaking Spanish to them, maybe they will want to learn some, too?!

Then, when their birthday rolls around, they’ll be saying “Feliz cumpleanos” instead of Happy Birthday! How cute would that be!?
Have a great day!!!
Sarah
PS – are kids still allowed to bring homemade treats to school, or is that a thing of the past?
