Empowering Children Through Early Spanish Learning

Introducing Spanish education at a young age benefits children in school and beyond!

For schools and parents alike, beginning a child’s second language acquisition can seem like a challenging start.

At Sarah’s Spanish School, we work hand-in-hand with districts and families to provide engaging Spanish lessons with our engaging, easy-to-implement, nationally recognized online Spanish language curriculum.

This blog post is designed for principals and school leaders to share with parents, to offer practical tips for supporting their child’s journey to learn Spanish.

Incorporating Spanish Into Daily Routines

Start your day with a dose of Spanish by incorporating it into your morning routine!

How to Support Your Child's Spanish Learning at HomeYou may wish to begin with a morning class from Sarah’s Spanish School! We have two fun and engaging options that your students would LOVE! One is a homeschool curriculum that students can complete on their own time at their own pace!

Looking for them to interact with other students and teachers? We also offer weekly FUN live and async lessons for students! Each week is a new theme designed to make learning Spanish fun and of high interest to students! Some of our previous weekly themes include Mario Week, Cozy Cooking, Soccer, Penguin Palooza, and Willy Wonka!

Other ways that you can begin your morning with Spanish is through simple greetings and phrases as you greet each other around the breakfast table and/or identify the foods that students will eat. These small interactions help students to use their language skills in the real world!

Throughout the day, aim to make Spanish immersion fun with songs, shows, and bilingual books! Need help? Sarah’s Spanish School will plan fun and engaging lessons filled with games, songs, and activities for you!

With us, there is no planning on your part and there is no need to speak Spanish. Our Spanish curriculum does all of the planning and prepping for you to ensure that your child has access to accessible, affordable, interactive, and fun Spanish lessons each day of the week. Labeling household items in Spanish, playing Spanish music, or watching age-appropriate videos together can make learning a language fun! With our weekly themed lessons, families have access to fun freebies that they can use to supplement their child’s learning throughout the week!

Connecting With Spanish-Speaking Communities

Sarah’s Spanish School doesn’t just teach language—we make connections with culture! To complement our Spanish language curriculum, parents can encourage their children to engage with Spanish-speaking communities!

This might include attending cultural festivals, exploring markets where Spanish is spoken, or cooking an authentic meal at home! These real-world applications of Spanish allow students to see the importance of what they’re learning in class.
